In the year 2010, Swami Sri Murugananda Saraswati met his Guru, Shri Mohan Baba, in the Himalayas. With the complete grace of Baba, Swami learned the Mahavidyas from him and took Sannyasa (renunciation) according to Hindu Dharma. Following his Guru's instructions, he began walking from Nepal to Kanyakumari in search of the Jeeva Samadhis (living tombs) of three Siddhas.
Before starting his journey, Swami took seven sacred vows before his Guru:
With these vows, he embarked on his journey, walking day and night, searching for the places where the three Siddhas' Jeeva Samadhis were located, and continued his pilgrimage. During this time, he discovered the Jeeva Samadhi of three Siddhas at a place called Mummudi Varum in Andhra Pradesh. After staying there for some time to perform penance, he resumed his journey.
As he continued searching in various regions, in 2015, Guruji received an order to go to Tiruchendur. He then walked between Tiruchendur and Sadhuragiri, and after several months, he started resting regularly in Srivilliputhur. During one such rest, with the grace of Lord Murugan, he discovered the third Jeeva Samadhi of the three Siddhas in Srivilliputhur.
Following the instructions he received there, Guruji established an Ashram at the current location of the Sri Vaishnavi Devi Temple. He is now constructing both the temple and the Ashram at this sacred site.
